Live Gigs Are The Best!

For me nothing can beat the feeling of seeing your favourite band/singer live and in person. Seeing them in the flesh singing the songs you love is something really special.

Don’t get me wrong I love listening to CD’s and downloads but seriously nothing will ever feel better or more exciting than going to a live gig. From the start of the day the excitement builds.

What am I going to wear? How early should I start queuing,? What merch should I buy? Will they sing my favourite song? Will they premiere any new materiel? It’s all so exhilarating.

Over the years I have been lucky enough to see some amazing singer’s and band’s live. I’ve witnessed Cheryl at a sold-out O2 Arena in London, Girls Aloud at the same venue, Joe McElderry at St David’s Hall in Cardiff, Ward Thomas at The Globe in Cardiff, two X Factor gigs at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Union J at the same venue and also at The Glee Club in Cardiff, I have seen Little Mix, JLS and more at the Pontypridd’s Big Weekend Festival in the park. Every single concert I have been to holds a special place in my heart and I always love booking new events.

Tonight I am going to see Ward Thomas for the second time in Cardiff and I am so excited. They are amazing live and their harmonies are spine tingling.  And I am also going to see Lady Antebellum in Birmingham for the first time ever this October.

For me there is nothing more exciting or entertaining than going to a live gig.

So Excited for Reggie ‘N’ Bollie’s New Single

I absolutely adore Reggie ‘N’ Bollie, I think they are two of the sweetest guys and they are so dedicated and talented. I’m so glad Cheryl chose to put them through to the live shows during last years X Factor as I love supporting them on their musical journey.

I am so excited for their second single which is called ‘Link Up’ to be released next week. I really liked their debut track ‘New Girl’, and I am expecting this song to be even more of a banger (if that’s possible)

I also can’t wait for the official music video, and I’m hoping they will tour the UK next year and release their debut album.

Friday, December 9th can’t come soon enough. I cannot wait to hear ‘Link Up’ for the first time. I am so proud of the boys and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.

Celebrating Two Yeas of Cheryl’s ‘I Don’t Care’ X Factor Performance

I cannot believe that today marks two whole years since Cheryl performed her record-breaking number 1 single ‘I Don’t Care’ on the live shows of The X Factor.

The performance is one of my all time favourite live performances from Cheryl, I just loved everything about it;  the staging, the lighting, Cheryl’s outfit, her hair, her sass, the dance breakdown, everything about it was fantastic.

And of course the track topped the charts making Cheryl the first British female to score five number 1 singles on the UK charts, so it’s even more special!

I couldn’t be prouder of her, and I just love seeing her up on stage as you can just tell she is in her element.

Hopefully next year she will release new music and make her long awaited return to the stage!

So Excited For New Reggie ‘N’ Bollie Music Before Christmas

I really loved Reggie ‘N’ Bollie’s debut single ‘New Girl’, it was really catchy and fun and full of summer of vibes.

So I am super psyched to find out that the boys will be releasing brand new music before this Christmas. They confirmed the news yesterday on Twitter!

I just love Reggie ‘N’ Bollie, they are super talented and the nicest guys you could ask to meet, I just adore them.

They stole mine, and millions of hearts around the world after they came second during last years X Factor where they were mentored by Cheryl.

And talking of Cheryl, I am hoping that the boys’ new release may feature her. They have said in the past that she has agreed to work with them on new music and I personally believe their second single would be the perfect time to get Cheryl on board.

I would just love a song featuring Reggie ‘N’ Bollie, and Cheryl! The excitement would be insane.

Whether Cheryl is featured or not I just know I am going to absolutely love the new track from Reggie ‘N’ Bollie.

Cheryl Really Needs to Tour Again

Tomorrow marks four whole years since Cheryl set off on her very first solo arena tour!

The ‘A Million Lights’ tour was a huge success and sold out massive venues such as the London’s O2 Arena and Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena.

And since the 2012 live shows Cheryl has released another successful album, the 2014 top ten hit ‘Only Human’, and  has also scored another two number 1 singles, the 2014 hits ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ and ‘I Don’t Care’.

But despite the success of her last releases Cheryl has decided against doing another arena tour (still so sad about that), and has only performed her new music on the X Factor, and Britain’s Got Talent live shows, along with an appearance at the Capital FM Summertime Ball.

And the lack of another live arena tour has left us Soldiers desperately waiting for her to announce another string of UK dates! The fact that she is recording her fifth studio album at the moment (so excite) gives us all hope that she will soon be hitting the road again.

Her 2012 tour was the best concert I have ever attended! The choreography was insane, the lighting and pyrotechnics were on point and Cheryl was at the top of her game.

Here’s hoping that she announces a brand new tour in the very near future.

Celebrating Two Years of ‘I Don’t Care’

Okay! How has it been two whole years since the very first play of Cheryl’s record-breaking fifth solo number 1 single ‘I Don’t Care’?

It only feels like yesterday that I was waiting for Capital FM to finally play the song for the very first time.

The song is a real f-u message to the haters and that is one of the main reasons it is one of my absolute favourite songs.

Not only does it have a fantastic message and great lyrics, the beat is also insane and so catchy, plus Cheryl’s vocals sound amazing.

I would have loved her to perform the song acoustically during her ‘Only Human’ sessions on YouTube as I think it would sound pretty incredible totally stripped back.

But I also loved her live performance of ‘I Don’t Care’ on the live shows of the X Factor! She looked and sounded amazing and her performance was fierce.

After everything Cheryl has been through over the years this song is a great mantra for her to live by and it’s such a fun song.

Here’s hoping we get a new track from Cheryl, soon!

Cheryl Feat. Reggie ‘N’ Bollie Needs to Happen

I don’t think I can wait much longer for a Cheryl Feat. Reggie ‘N’ Bollie track to drop.

I fell in love with Reggie ‘N’ Bollie when they were on the X Factor in 2015 where they were mentored by my absolute fave Cheryl, and ever since she jumped up on stage to perform the Azonto with them I have been craving a collab!

The boys have confirmed that a collaboration with their former mentor and now good friend is very much on the cards and that they are just trying to find the “right song” but I am getting so impatient to hear any song they release together.

RnB’s debut single ‘New Girl’ was a banger and I just know that any song featuring Cheryl will be massive and I cannot wait to hear the vibe they go for!

I know that the boys and Chezza are both working on new albums at the moment so I’m hoping that they will be able to sync their busy schedules soon and make this guaranteed tune happen.

Reggie ‘N’ Bollie are such great guys and I just love them and their relationship with Cheryl is just too cute, so any collab between them would have so much chemistry making the track even better.

I’m hopeful that the song will be released sometime in 2017 (too excited).

Celebrating Six Years of the ‘Promise This’ Video

I cannot believe it has been six years since Cheryl released her truly beautiful video for her huge number 1 hit single ‘Promise This’.

I can still remember the day that the video premiered on ITV2 after X Factor and just before the XTRA Factor! I was so excited for the clip to debut and it still remains one of my favourite videos to this day.

The treatment is perfect for the song and Cheryl looks absolutely stunning throughout, I just love everything about it.

‘Promise This’ is also one of my favourite songs of all time and holds a special place in my heart as it was the first song Cheryl released after her battle with Malaria so the song has a special meaning for me!

I also vividly remember the first live performance of this track on The X Factor and I remember feeling so proud and relieved to see her back on stage doing what she does best and being back to full health after a traumatic few months when she was battling for her life.

I am beyond proud of how she showed her fighting spirit and survived, and I am so happy that she released this song as it is a truly iconic track and the video is just stunning.

Fleur East Needs to Drop Her Second Album Soon

I cannot wait for 2014 X Factor runner-up Fleur East to release her second album.

I absolutely loved her debut release ‘Love, Sax and Flashbacks’ (‘Sax’ was such a tune) but it’s been almost one year exactly since the LP dropped and there has been no sign of any new music from Fleur.

I know she has been busy promoting her music over in America and has also launched a clothing line, but I think we are due a new single at the very least in the very near future.

I really hope Simon Cowell’s record label ‘Syco’ give her a lot of time and promote her correctly as her talent is insane and I believe if she is promoted correctly she could be the UK’s answer to Beyonce.

I just love how energetic she is and how much time and effort she puts into her records! I’m hoping she will also tour soon.

I always feel that Simon Cowell allows too much time between a debut release and a sophomore follow up, I think he allows too much time to pass without any live performances, magazine interviews and more importantly without any new music. He just seems to move onto the next artist and leaves his last signing behind.

I hope that this is not the case with Fleur as she deserves to have a very long and successful career.

I sincerely hope that she will explode back onto the music scene in the near future with another huge hit and be around for many years to come.

Celebrate Seven Years of Fight For This Love

How has it been seven years since Cheryl launched her solo career with the massive hit single ‘Fight For This Love’?

I still remember listening to it and watching the music video for the first time like it was yesterday.

I remember vividly the first time I watched the video as it was only a few months after the death of my father and I remember the lyrics hitting home. (I just had to keep fighting)

To be honest I wasn’t sure if I was going to like Cheryl’s solo music as I wasn’t a huge fan of Girls Aloud (I liked them, but I wasn’t a massive Alouder) but since I had pretty much fallen in love with Cheryl during the 2008 series of The X Factor I was excited to hear her stuff.

Fast forward seven years and I am the proudest Soldier! Cheryl is without doubt my biggest inspiration and I am so proud of everything she has achieved since she released ‘Fight For This Love’. That song is truly iconic and the fact that it has sold over 1 million copies proves what an iconic pop song it really is.

But she is not only known for that one brilliant song, over these past seven years Cheryl has gone on to score a further four number 1 singles (making her the first female artist in UK history to do so) 2 number 1 albums and a sold out arena tour. Her solo career has been so successful it has over taken that of Girls Aloud’s (who are the biggest girl band of the 21st century)

I really couldn’t be prouder of her and I cannot wait for her fifth album to be released.
