Hoping Shania Twain Announces UK Tour Dates Soon!

I am totally and utterly obsessed with Shania Twain’s new single ‘Life’s About To Get Good’ it is everything and so much more of what I could have wished for. It’s fun, uplifting, feelgood and just pure Shania.

And the track ‘Swingin With My Eyes Closed’ which she premiered during her concert for the Today Show is just insane. It’s so catchy and an instant classic. I am so beyond happy Shania Twain is back. She is the reason I became a country music fan so to have new music from her is just incredible.

I cannot wait for her new album ‘Now’ to drop on September 29th. It’s crazy to think I was just a little girl of 8 when she last released a studio album; ‘Up!’ which is just timeless and iconic, I am now 23, and still love every song Shania has ever released. She is a true music legend.

And now she has made her long awaited comeback, I’m hoping she will tour again. I know she said back in 2015 that her Rock This Country tour would be her last, but looking at her on stage at the moment she seems to be really enjoying being back up there and connecting with the audience. It’s great to see her looking so happy and relaxed while performing. So I’m hopeful she will announce tour details soon.

I’m particularly optimistic of a tour happening thanks to her website saying that anyone who pre-orders ‘Now’ will have first access to any upcoming tour tickets.  I’m hoping this means an announcement is due immanently.

I just hope this time she visits the UK. I think she will since she gave us the world exclusive first play of ‘Life’s About To Get Good’ via BBC Radio 2, and she’s performing at this years Radio 2 Festival In A Day in September. So it’s looking good for UK dates if she does tour.

I missed out on tickets to see her at Hyde Park at the Radio 2 festival which I am absolutely gutted about. It would be a dream to see one of my music icons live. Shania influenced my music taste so much, it would be incredible to see her perform in person.

Fingers crossed she announces plans for a 2018 tour very soon and includes lots of UK dates.

Shania Twain is the Reason I am a Country Music Fan

I am so, so happy today because Shania Twain is officially back. The fact that she premiered her brilliant new single ‘Life’s About To Get Good’ during her incredible Stagecoach Festival set last night has made my week.

She is without doubt the reason I am a huge country music fan today. I was introduced to her music when I was around 8-years-old which is about the time she released her last album ‘Up!’, by my older brothers.

Since then I have been attached to the genre and now support a host of country stars including the likes of Ward Thomas,  Lady Antebellum, Kevin McGuire, Sarah Darling, and Una Healy.  But Shania is the only reason I got into country in the first place and I am forever thankful to her for that.

I think it’s the same for a lot of people in my age group as she made the genre accessible and fun to young people, with super catchy pop crossover hits such as ‘I’m Gonna Getcha Good’ and ‘Ka-Ching!’. And now her new single ‘Life’s About To Get Good’ will introduce a whole host of young kids the genre.

I am over the moon she is officially back and you can just tell she has fallen back in love with making music and performing live again. I just hope she announces a world tour soon which includes a London or preferably Cardiff date as it would be a dream to see her live.

Shania Twain is a true icon of music and she has inspired so many country and pop singers around the world and opened the genre to fans from everywhere to fall in love with country. She is just incredible.

I am so excited for her new album to drop this September. Shania Twain is back and sounding better than ever.

Celebrating 22 Years of ‘The Woman In Me’

I seriously cannot believe it has been 22 years since Shania Twain released her huge worldwide hit album ‘The Woman In Me’. I was one week away from my very 1st birthday when the LP was released! So crazy that I am now a loyal and dedicated fan of Shania’s.

‘The Woman In Me’ was Twain’s second album and her breakout hit. It transcended from country into pop/rock and broke down every barrier put in place.

If this album was not created by Shania and then husband Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange so many country/pop artists such as Taylor Swift would not have been given the time to create real music that is timeless.

With this album Shania Twain proved that you don’t need to pigeon hole your music into one specific music genre to be a success. To become a true icon you need to stay true to what you love and in the end you will create magic.

And magic is what Shania created with this timeless collection of hits; songs such ‘Any Man Of Mine’, and ‘Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under’ still resonate with listeners now.

Shania Twain is a true legend of music.

So Excited For Shania Twain’s New Music

2017 has got off to an absolutely fantastic start where music is concerned! The reason why the year has started so well is the fact that the legendary Shania Twain has officially confirmed that her new music will be released this year (too excited)

She took to Twitter on New Years Day to confirm her exciting news; “Happy New Year! Thank you for all your continued support. So excited to share new music with you this year.
2017, i’m gonna getcha good”

It’s hard to believe that it has been fifteen years since she released her last studio album ‘Up!’, I was only 8 years of age when that LP was released and it was around that time I started to get introduced to her music and over the years I started listening to her back catalogue and totally fell in love with her unique blend of country, rock, and pop music. She is a true icon of music and a trailblazer of mixing genres.

I am now 22, almost 23, and I cannot wait for Shania to release her fifth studio album and although it has been a very long time coming I know it is going to be well worth the wait.

There is still nobody quite like Shania Twain in the music industry and her wonderful writing talents have been sorely missed over the years.

Fingers crossed she releases the new LP very, very soon.

Shania Twain and Nick Jonas Need to Collaborate

Seeing Nick Jonas presenting Shania Twain her Billboard Icon Award last night at the Women in Music ceremony has really made me want a Twain and Jonas collaboration even more.

I know that they really respect each others music and are both big fans of each other so it shouldn’t be that hard to set up and I know that Nick would jump at the chance to record with his first crush and idol, so I’m hoping it will happen soon.

I also really think that their vocals would sound insane together, we know that Nick can hit those high notes and he has sung country music before; Back in 2009 when he was still part of the Jonas Brothers the group covered Shania’s ‘Gonna Getcha Good’, and earlier this year he performed with Kelsea Ballerini at the ACM awards.

I think it would make for an extremely special song and if it was to happen would without doubt be a massive worldwide hit. I’m really hoping that they finally collab soon.

Fingers crossed they get into the studio soon.

So Excited New Shania Twain Music is Coming “Really Soon”

It feels like we have been waiting forever for new music from Shania Twain, but it is looking likely that the Canadian country music superstar may be dropping a new album sooner rather than later.

Shania Twain has confirmed that new music from her is coming “really soon”, she made the announcement at this years prestigious CMT Artists of the Year Award ceremony in Nashville earlier this week.

She was attending the event as a special guest after being honoured with the CMT Artist of a Lifetime Award by the country music TV channel.

And the 51-year-old who was looking incredible at the event confirmed her exciting music news during an interview on the red carpet, and she also said that the new LP will be the start of a new “musical chapter” for her.

I am literally so excited for this new album from Shania Twain, I just know it is going to be well worth the wait.

So Proud That Shania Twain Has Won ‘Artist of a Lifetime’

I am so proud of Shania Twain for being awarded the prestigious ‘Artist of a Lifetime’ award at this years CMT Artists of the Year event!

The huge honour is made even more special by the fact that Shania is the first ever female to win the accolade.

Other stars who have won include Kenny Rogers, and Merle Haggard.

I am so happy that her work is being recognised in such a special way and I cannot think of anymore more deserving to win the award.

The fact that she has only released four studio albums so far and is the biggest selling female in country music is outstanding!

Her achievements have been incredible and she is a true pioneer of the country/pop genre.

I’m hoping that she will attend the CMT Artists of the Year event in Nashville on October 20th, as she deserves to hear all the applause and praise that will be heaped on her. This accolade is truly amazing and should be celebrated.

I’m also hoping that she may debut new music at the event. Let’s face it this would be the perfect time and place to perform a brand new song.

Either way, I’m just so happy and proud right now!

Shania Twain and Lady Antebellum Need to Collaborate

I am a huge fan of country music and I absolutely love Shania Twain and Lady Antebellum, so one of my dream collaborations without doubt would be Shania Twain Feat. Lady Antebellum!

Considering both have broken and made countless records with their music a collab would be a massive hit around the world, and Lady Antebellum are big fans of Shania’s, they even regularly cover her huge number 1 hit single ‘Any Man of Mine’ on tour, and Twain is a also a big fan of theirs.

During her Las Vegas residency Shania Twain even invited Lady A backstage along with another country music band Little Big Town.

And during the 2013 ACM awards Hillary Scott (Lady Antebellum) met up with Twain backstage!

All of this proves that there is genuine love and respect between the musicians so a collaboration would definitely work.

The fact that both Lady Antebellum and Shania Twain are recording new albums means that there has never been a better time to make a collab happen!

They could even perform together at the 50th CMA awards in November (now that would be special).

Hopefully we will have a new track featuring Shania Twain and Lady Antebellum in the near future.

Excited to See Who Will Perform at the CMA Awards 50th Anniversary Show

I am really, really excited for this years CMA Awards as it is the 50th anniversary and I am expecting BIG things in terms of surprise performers.

The awards will be broadcast in America this November on Wednesday the 2nd, (no UK broadcast date is known yet) and will be hosted by the Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley, but with only 50 days to go until the live broadcast organisers are keeping tight lipped over who will be performing on the famous stage as the world celebrates country music.

I’m hoping/thinking that Lady Antebellum may perform a new track as they are currently working on new music and they are also nominated in the Vocal Group of the Year category at this years awards, so to me it would make sense for them to make an explosive comeback with a brand new single.

Another artist I am hoping will explode back onto the scene is Shania Twain! At the moment there is no word on her being at the ceremony but considering she is the most successful female country artist of all time it would make sense for her to be involved in the 50th anniversary of the CMA Awards in some capacity.

The fact that she is working on her fifth studio album but did not release a new single back in August like she had planned to do also makes me think that she has something much bigger planned.

Think about it, it would be the perfect setting for her to make her musical comeback and perform a brand new track for the first time.

Millions of country music fans around the world would be watching and it would be a huge promotional platform.

I’m thinking (hoping) that her record label and management have told her to hold off on releasing any new music before November in order for her to make her comeback with a live performance of her new single at the CMA Awards 50.

So I am really excited about this years CMAs as I think it is going to be such a special night that celebrates the last 50 years in country music and also makes new memories that will be enjoyed and remembered for another 50 years.

Celebrating 17 Years Since Shania Twain’s ‘Come On Over’ Album Was Number 1 in the UK

On this day 17 years ago music changed forever in my opinion. Shania Twain was sitting pretty at the top of the UK album chart with her record breaking third studio LP ‘Come On Over’! And for me that is when country music became mainstream.

The fact that a Canadian country music star was number 1 in the UK meant that the genre was finally being celebrated all over the world and especially right here in Britain.

This particular album from Shania was groundbreaking and broke down barriers as it crossed multiple genres while still being able to call itself country! The LP still remains the best selling album by a female artist ever (wow) and it is still a timeless classic.

In fact this LP is so timeless that it could be released today and not feel dated in the slightest, the music has moved with the times and stayed relevant, for me that is a sign of perfect music.

I am so grateful for artists like Shania Twain who were not afraid to push the boundaries of what was deemed “acceptable” for country artists to do, and without her I don’t think artists like Taylor Swift or Ward Thomas would be given the freedom to cross the genres as freely as they do now.

The fact is Shania Twain made country music accessible to the masses and reminded everyone that we don’t need to pigeon hole ourselves by only listening to one style of music. Music is fun and all genres and styles can be enjoyed by everybody.

‘Come On Over’ to me is the album that changed everything for country music and for that I will forever be thankful to Shania Twain!

Just look at how the genre has come along, a UK country act is currently number 1 on the album charts, (I never thought I’d see the day) Ward Thomas like Shania before them are breaking records and breaking barriers with their music. They are proving that pop fans, RnB fans, etc, can all enjoy country music.

You don’t have to be from Nashville to enjoy this particular style of music. The genre is all about storytelling and at the end of the day any song from any genre that tells a great story is going to stand the test of time! Great music is great music.
