Live Gigs Are The Best!

For me nothing can beat the feeling of seeing your favourite band/singer live and in person. Seeing them in the flesh singing the songs you love is something really special.

Don’t get me wrong I love listening to CD’s and downloads but seriously nothing will ever feel better or more exciting than going to a live gig. From the start of the day the excitement builds.

What am I going to wear? How early should I start queuing,? What merch should I buy? Will they sing my favourite song? Will they premiere any new materiel? It’s all so exhilarating.

Over the years I have been lucky enough to see some amazing singer’s and band’s live. I’ve witnessed Cheryl at a sold-out O2 Arena in London, Girls Aloud at the same venue, Joe McElderry at St David’s Hall in Cardiff, Ward Thomas at The Globe in Cardiff, two X Factor gigs at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Union J at the same venue and also at The Glee Club in Cardiff, I have seen Little Mix, JLS and more at the Pontypridd’s Big Weekend Festival in the park. Every single concert I have been to holds a special place in my heart and I always love booking new events.

Tonight I am going to see Ward Thomas for the second time in Cardiff and I am so excited. They are amazing live and their harmonies are spine tingling.  And I am also going to see Lady Antebellum in Birmingham for the first time ever this October.

For me there is nothing more exciting or entertaining than going to a live gig.

Aston Merrygold Has Found His Sound With New Single ‘Precious’

Today former JLS frontman Aston Merrygold released the official music video for his latest single ‘Precious’. The video is visually stunning, showing Aston on the beach with his girlfriend.

But it is the song that really stands out. It has a sound that suits Merrygold down to the ground. It has smooth RnB tones, Hip-Hop vibes and a rap verse from Shy Carter. It is the perfect combination and really shows the musical growth of Aston Merrygold.

This is the type of music that his voice really suits and I really hope he continues with this style. ‘Precious’ could turn out to be his biggest hit to date. It has a great summer vibe and is radio friendly.

Hopefully it will get playlisted on radio stations such as Capital FM and Radio 1 as it deserves to be heard. It’s a really great song and definitively Aston’s best ever release.

Love the Artwork for ‘I Ain’t Missing You’

I really love the official artwork for Aston Merrygold’s upcoming new single ‘I Ain’t Missing You’! It’s fun, quirky and unique and really stands out.

Plus it’s a fun take on people calling Aston by the wrong name which is kinda cute.

I really like the song as his vocals sound insane on the record and the video looks really cool so I’m excited for the official release of the track and also to be able to watch the full music video.

I’m hoping that this single will be his real breakout track that puts him at the forefront of music after the split of JLS.

I loved his debut single ‘Get Stupid’, but ‘I Ain’t Missing You’ is in a league of its own and puts his debut release in the shade!

I cannot wait until I am able to download the track as it will be on repeat for days. I just love his voice.

I am also really excited for his debut album ‘Showstopper’ which I’m hoping will be released in early 2017.

Aston has the talent so now he just needs the backing and then he can become one of the UK’s most successful artists.

Can’t Wait For Aston Merrygold’s New Music Video

I really like Aston Merrygold’s upcoming single ‘I Ain’t Missing You’, I think if promoted correctly it could be a huge chart hit (something Aston thoroughly deserves).

And I am now getting so excited for the official single release which is due in the next week or so, and I am loving the clip that Aston posted of the upcoming music video for the catchy track.

The video looks really interesting and will also feature former Britain’s Got Talent stars Flawless so you just know that the dancing and choreography is going to insane.

I really enjoy listening to Merrygold’s solo records as his vocal ability is up there with the best!  So I was really excited for his debut album ‘Showstopper’ last year and was gutted when it was cancelled but I’m hoping he has put that disappointment behind him and we will soon be able to listen to the LP.

Anyway, back to the video! The clip he posted on Twitter looks really fantastic and I love how dark it is as it amps up the atmosphere and makes it more intriguing. I’m hoping it will be officially released this week as I cannot wait to watch the full clip.

I’m really excited to see what the future holds for the former JLS man as his talent is immense. I hope he hits the road soon, a 2017 tour would be perfect!

I’d love to see him live as he seems to put on a brilliant show.

Loving ‘Money Maker’

Well ‘Money Maker’ by Throttle Feat. Aston Merrygold, and Lunch Money Lewis is an absolute tune isn’t it?

I am loving the hip/hop track and I am so happy that Aston Merrygold went solo after JLS split up as his vocal ability is insane and he deserves to be the main man as his talent deserves to shine.

I cannot wait for his new single ‘I Ain’t Missing You’ to drop in two weeks time and I am hoping he will announce a UK tour soon!

I’m hoping that a lot of non JLS fans (like me) give him a chance as a solo artist because I think a lot of people would be really surprised by his vocal range and incredible falsetto.

His talents don’t just stop with his singing ability either he is also an incredibly skilled dancer and his live performances are always full of energy and slick dance moves.

The fact that Throttle asked him to feature on ‘Money Maker’ alongside Lunch Money Lewis just proves how fantastically talented he really is and also proves that he his now breaking out from JLS’ shadow and is making a name for himself in his own right.

I sincerely hope that his solo career goes from strength to strength as he truly deserves every little bit of success that comes his way.

So Excited For Aston Merrygold’s New Single

I am getting so excited for Aston Merrygold to officially release his brand new single ‘I Ain’t Missing You’.

The fact that he has been performing the new track live for a while and has now completed filming the official music video makes me hope that we will be able to officially download the brilliant track soon.

I am in love with his vocals and think he has everything he needs to make it as a successful solo star. To be honest I was never a big fan of JLS but I am huge fan of Aston’s solo music and loved his debut single ‘Get Stupid’.

It’s just a shame that his first solo album ‘Showstopper’ got pushed back because I was absolutely buzzing to hear it.

I’ve heard him performing ‘I Ain’t Missing You’ on YouTube and I really like the sound he has gone for on the new single! It has less of a dance/RnB vibe than ‘Get Stupid’ but there is enough funk in there for a dance breakdown from Aston.

I can’t wait to hear an actual studio version of the song and the fact that he is performing the song on the Xtra Factor tonight (September 4th) means we will officially have a brilliant audio version of the brilliant track. Hopefully it also means that an official release is just around the corner.

I sincerely hope that Aston gets supported by radio and gets lots of promotion as he truly deserves to be the next big thing.
