In Love With Ward Thomas’ ‘Fly Away’ Cover

I am so in love with Ward Thomas’ cover of Lenny Kravitz’s huge worldwide hit ‘Fly Away’.

Catherine and Lizzy’s stunning vocals give you goosebumps and make your spine tingle as they harmonise splendidly on the soaring chorus!

I really don’t think I have ever loved a cover as much as I do this, it’s literally perfect.

I have always quite liked the song anyway but when Ward Thomas sing it, it takes it to a whole new level, it is simply sublime.

I’m so glad they released it as a b-side to their single version of the fantastic ‘Cartwheels’, as I cannot stop playing it.

Celebrating Seven Years of Cheryl’s Debut Solo Album

Wow! I cannot believe that today marks seven years since Cheryl released her debut solo album ‘3 Words’.

The LP was Cheryl’s first after Girls Aloud took a break and it was a massive number 1 hit and has since sold over 1 million copies.

The time has gone so fast and I couldn’t be prouder of everything she has achieved in her solo career so far.

Since the release of ‘3 Words’, Cheryl has dropped another three albums ‘Messy Little Raindrops’, ‘A Million Lights’, and ‘Only Human’, all of which have been hugely successful.

She has also made chart history by becoming the first British female in UK chart history to score five number 1 singles, with the songs ‘Fight For This Love’, ‘Promise This’, ‘Call My Name’, ‘Crazy Stupid Love’, and ‘I Don’t Care’.

Over the years my love and respect for Cheryl has only grown and I am excited to see what the future holds, and to hear her new music.

Ward Thomas’ ‘Safe’ Should Be Used For An NSPCC Advert

I am in love with ward Thomas’ voices and their songs are so inspirational and sound so beautiful.

And in particular their song ‘Safe’ which is on their record breaking number 1 album ‘Cartwheels’, is very inspiring and I personally think it would be the perfect soundtrack for an NSPCC advert.

There are some very poignant lyrics including “Someone stole your youth and tried to expose your sweet innocence all too soon”, and another one “So you don’t have to be quiet And you don’t have to feel ashamed”.

And there are some other poignant lines that are perfect for the charity, including “You’re not to blame”, and “You are not what happened to you”.

The full lyrics for the stunning track are:

Someone took your truth and lied to it
Someone stole your youth
And tried to expose your sweet innocence

All too soon

Like the shadow of a thief
Breaking in every night
The scene of sharp relief
Every time you close your eyes
You still see it, it follows you

So you don’t have to be quiet
And you don’t have to feel ashamed
This is not your war
To fight and you’re not to blame
‘Cause I know you’ve been stumbling
Searching for a place to hide and heal
Somewhere you can rest,
Forgive yourself and feel

You’re safe here
You’re safe here

Someone took my rights
And treated me wrong
Someone stole my light,
But I am still strong
In silent ways,
They don’t see

So we don’t have to be quiet
And we don’t have to feel ashamed
This is not our war
To fight and we’re not to blame
‘Cause I know you’ve been stumbling
Searching for a place to hide and heal
Somewhere you can rest,
Forgive yourself and feel

You’re safe here
You’re safe here
You’re safe here
You’re safe here

You are not what happened to you
You are not what happened to you
You are not what happened to you

You are not what happened to you
You are not what happened to you
You are not what happened to you

You are not what happened to you
You are not what happened to you
You are not what happened to you

So you don’t have to be quiet
And you don’t have to feel ashamed
This is not your war
To fight and you’re not to blame
‘Cause I know you’ve been stumbling
Searching for a place to hide and heal
Somewhere you can rest,
Forgive yourself and feel

You’re safe here
You’re safe here
You’re safe here
You’re safe here

For me this would be a perfect, poignant and though provoking soundtrack to be used on a new NSPCC campaign.

So Excited New Shania Twain Music is Coming “Really Soon”

It feels like we have been waiting forever for new music from Shania Twain, but it is looking likely that the Canadian country music superstar may be dropping a new album sooner rather than later.

Shania Twain has confirmed that new music from her is coming “really soon”, she made the announcement at this years prestigious CMT Artists of the Year Award ceremony in Nashville earlier this week.

She was attending the event as a special guest after being honoured with the CMT Artist of a Lifetime Award by the country music TV channel.

And the 51-year-old who was looking incredible at the event confirmed her exciting music news during an interview on the red carpet, and she also said that the new LP will be the start of a new “musical chapter” for her.

I am literally so excited for this new album from Shania Twain, I just know it is going to be well worth the wait.

So Happy I’ve Discovered Sarah Darling

This time last week I had no idea who Sarah Darling was but fast forward and I am totally in love with her beautiful country tones.

I first heard of her when I found out she would be supporting Ward Thomas on their Cartwheels tour, and I saw her live at The Globe in Cardiff on the 17th October and I have totally fallen in love with her gorgeous voice.

Her set was so stunning and her vocal ability is insane.

I just bought all her back catalogue and I cannot wait to start listening to her music, I really love the song ‘Little Umbrellas’, which is actually about cocktails but apparently Americans call them umbrella drinks.

I’m so glad she supported Ward Thomas on tour as I absolutely love them, and now I have another country music artist to add to my collection.

Ward Thomas Were Amazing Live

I didn’t think Ward Thomas could sound any better but they totally blew me away last night at their gig in Cardiff.

Their vocal harmonies are off the scale and they also seem really sweet, and down to earth.

Their set list was 17 songs long and included all their hits such as ‘Guilty Flowers’, and ‘Carry You Home’, along with older tracks including ‘Push For The Stride’.

They even paid an emotional tribute to the late Sir Terry Wogan by dedicating their debut single ‘Good And The Right’ to him, which I thought was a touch of class.

The concert really was fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed myself singing along with the girls.

I can’t wait for them to come back so I can see them live again, it was one of the best concerts I have ever been to.

Their support act Sarah Darling was also really good, and was funny and sweet as well as being super talented.

Seeing Ward Thomas live for the first time has made me love them even more.

Excited to See Ward Thomas Live Tonight.

I am so happy and excited that tonight is the night I finally get to see the incredible record breaking Ward Thomas perform live for the very first time.

I am sure they are going to be absolutely amazing tonight at the Globe in Cardiff!

I can’t wait to hear and see them perform ‘Boomerang’, ‘When It’s Not Me’ and ‘Where The Sky Is’, along with other fantastic songs such as ‘Cartwheels’, and ‘Carry You Home’.

I just know their vocal harmonies are going to sound insane.

Not only is this my first time seeing Ward Thomas live (too excited) it is also my very first country music concert, and I am buzzing.

I’m also looking forward to seeing their support act Sarah Darling! I don’t know much about her but she is very beautiful and I am always excited to find new artists so I’m hoping I will also fall in love with her voice tonight.
