Excited to See Who Will Perform at the CMA Awards 50th Anniversary Show

I am really, really excited for this years CMA Awards as it is the 50th anniversary and I am expecting BIG things in terms of surprise performers.

The awards will be broadcast in America this November on Wednesday the 2nd, (no UK broadcast date is known yet) and will be hosted by the Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley, but with only 50 days to go until the live broadcast organisers are keeping tight lipped over who will be performing on the famous stage as the world celebrates country music.

I’m hoping/thinking that Lady Antebellum may perform a new track as they are currently working on new music and they are also nominated in the Vocal Group of the Year category at this years awards, so to me it would make sense for them to make an explosive comeback with a brand new single.

Another artist I am hoping will explode back onto the scene is Shania Twain! At the moment there is no word on her being at the ceremony but considering she is the most successful female country artist of all time it would make sense for her to be involved in the 50th anniversary of the CMA Awards in some capacity.

The fact that she is working on her fifth studio album but did not release a new single back in August like she had planned to do also makes me think that she has something much bigger planned.

Think about it, it would be the perfect setting for her to make her musical comeback and perform a brand new track for the first time.

Millions of country music fans around the world would be watching and it would be a huge promotional platform.

I’m thinking (hoping) that her record label and management have told her to hold off on releasing any new music before November in order for her to make her comeback with a live performance of her new single at the CMA Awards 50.

So I am really excited about this years CMAs as I think it is going to be such a special night that celebrates the last 50 years in country music and also makes new memories that will be enjoyed and remembered for another 50 years.

If you have any new music tips for me please leave a comment below.
