So Excited That George Shelley Is Working on Solo Music

I am so happy and excited that the gorgeous George Shelley is working on his own solo music! He is a fantastic talent and since he left Union J (who I still love) he has been carving out a successful career for himself as a radio presenter but his voice is too good not to release his own music.

So I was delighted when I saw that he is working on a beautiful song called ‘Soldier’ which I assume is about his older brother who is a soldier. The clip he posted was only ten seconds long but it was enough to showcase his wonderful vocal ability.

His voice is very strong and deep so he never needed to be in a band as his vocals are good enough to carry him on his own, so a solo career would be perfect for him.

I am really excited to see what the future holds for him as he has the talent to take him to the top! This time next year he could be a huge megastar in his own right (I hope he does become a hugely successful solo star).

Not only can he sing but he also plays the guitar and is extremely good looking and very kind and sweet so he really does have the whole package.

I wish him all the best for his solo music career and I can’t wait to buy his music in the future.

Hoping Cheryl and Craig David Collaborate Soon

Cheryl is without doubt my favourite artist (I just love her) and I cannot wait for her new album to come out! Her 2014 LP ‘Only Human’ was so inspiring and was actually the reason I got into journalism. I just felt so inspired to follow my dreams after listening to the record (thank you, Cheryl).

Anyway, I always love that she is never afraid to work with people outside of the box (think Dizee Rascal, Tinie Tempah) these are not the kind of artists you would usually associate with a pop star  but they always turn out fantastic and show another side of her musical abilities.

So I was really stoked to see that Craig David is very keen to work with her on any new music (I’m not a big fan of Craig’s music but I think they would work really well together).

After they met on the X Factor last year I understand they have struck up quite a close bond and you can see there is mutual respect there for each others talents.

I just know if they worked together on a grime or garage track it would be such a tune! Plus it would be a huge curve-ball to see Cheryl experimenting with such a different music style from her usual pop/RnB sound.

But I truly believe that she can sing a variety of genres and shouldn’t be afraid of mixing things up on the next record! Why not release a garage track? Maybe a country style song? She has the talent and ability so why not use it?

I’m hoping her fifth album will be genre-less, it’s 2016 why should any artist pigeon hole themselves? Why not create a great album filled with great music. Let’s forget about saying this is a pop album, this is a RnB LP, and just focus on a great body of work.

If Cheryl and Craig David do work together I’m hoping that they perform together as a live performance featuring those two would be insane.

So Proud of DNCE

I am so proud that DNCE won Best New Artist at this years MTV VMA’s, they truly deserve it.

I think the award is even more special as the fans actually voted rather than critics (I think every award should be fan voted).

I am so happy that their unique blend of pop/rock is being recognised as I love their quirky tunes such as ‘Cake By The Ocean’ and ‘Pay My Rent’, although my favourite song of theirs is the sweet ballad ‘Jinx’, Joe Jonas’ vocals are insane on the track.

I am so excited for their debut album which is due for release this October as I know it will be one of my all time faves, I just know it is going to be filled with absolute bangers.

I also can’t wait to see them live this November when I go to see Selena Gomez on her Revival tour (too excited), I am sure they will put on a fantastic show.

I was also really psyched to see that DNCE are the first rock band to win Best New Artist at the VMA’s since 2008 when Tokio Hotel picked up the prestigious accolade. I think it just goes to show how good they actually are and I am so proud of them.

To be the first rock act to win the Moonman in eight years takes something special and they certainly are a very special band.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for DNCE as I’m sure they will continue to grow and become even more successful and win lot’s more awards.

I Need New Music From Shania Twain

I am getting so impatient for new music from the queen of country Shania Twain. I was hoping we would have had a new single by now as she did say she was hoping to release new music before her 51st birthday (she turned 51 today, August 28th).

I am obsessed with her music and for me she is the best country music singer there has ever been (male or female). I just love everything about her! The fact that she is the biggest selling female artist in country music history backs up my opinion.

I cannot believe that it has been 14 years since her last studio album and I am ready for some new tunes.

It’s hard to believe that I was only around 8-years-old the last time she released a LP; ‘Up!’. I was so happy when she made her comeback in 2011 as I could see she was putting her throat and voice problems behind her and then of course she opened a Las Vegas Residency back in 2012 and went on tour in 2015 so now we know she is back to her brilliant best (thankfully).

Her voice sounded better than ever on her last tour (I so wish I could see her live) and she looks absolutely incredible!

I know she is currently hard at work in the recording studio working on her fifth album so I hope it won’t be long until new music drops, I don’t think I can wait much longer (so impatient).

Fingers crossed she will release at least one track before the end of this year (and hopefully announce a UK tour).

So Happy Reggie ‘N’ Bollie Are Back in the Studio

I totally fell in love with Reggie ‘N’ Bollie when they were on the X Factor last year and their debut single ‘New Girl’ was my song of the summer!

So I am so happy and excited that they are officially back in the recording studio working on a follow up to their first record and on their debut album which is due for release later this year (too excited).

Not only are they super talented, they are also the nicest guys ever. I love their energy and positive outlook on life, they are a breath of fresh air to the music industry and I am so proud to be supporting them on their incredible journey.

I am so excited to hear their first album especially as they are planning to record a collaboration with Cheryl (who is my absolute fave, ever) and I know that that particular track will be an absolute banger.

I also hear that they have collabs with Craig David and Fuse ODG in the pipe line! Which would be insane.

They truly deserve every little bit of success that comes their way and I cannot wait to jam out to more of their fantastic RnB bangers.

I just hope Simon Cowell’s label Syco invests lots of time and energy into them and allow them to continue to make the music that they are great at. ‘New Girl’ was the perfect song for them and we need more crackers like that.

Loving Ward Thomas’ ‘Stitches’ Cover

Is there anything Ward Thomas can’t do? The short answer is no.

The twin sisters Catherine and Lizzy have just released their fantastic cover version of Shawn Mendes’ massive hit single ‘Stitches’ and I am absolutely loving it.

These girls are currently turning everything they touch into gold and their latest Snug Session for their cover of ‘Stitches’ is no different.

The way their country tones blend into the pop chorus is fantastic and proves just how versatile they are.

I’m not gonna lie I would love for them to release their version as a single and I’m hoping that they perform it on their upcoming tour (I’m counting down the days until I see them live).

I am so proud of Ward Thomas and how far they have come, their latest singles ‘Carry You Home’, and ‘Guilty Flowers’ are performing so well on the country charts (both were number 1 hits), and their upcoming second album ‘Cartwheels’ is currently on the best selling list on Amazon-proving that they have a huge following.

I am expecting big things from the LP and I think it could be quite a big crossover hit! Perhaps charting in the top 20.

The future is looking brighter and brighter for my new music obsessions and I can’t wait to be a part of their exciting journey.

Can’t Wait For ‘Trust Nobody’ by Cashmere Cat Feat. Selena Gomez

I am so excited that we are getting a brand new track from Selena Gomez soon.

The new song is called ‘Trust Nobody’ and is from Norwegian DJ Cashmere Cat’s upcoming album ‘Wild Love’.

Although we don’t currently know the release date for the song, the title track from Cashmere’s new album will be out this Friday so it shouldn’t be long until we hear ‘Trust Nobody’.

I am really excited to hear the song as the title is intriguing and Selena always releases classics.

I am always eager to hear any new track from Selena, and this song is no different! I hope we don’t have to wait too long though as my patience for new music is kinda wearing thin (I’m always impatient when it comes to new releases, lol)

Hopefully ‘Trust Nobody’ will be out soon and we can all enjoy the wonderful talent of Sel, again.

I was hoping we would get ‘Feel Me’ as a single to keep us going until SG2 but no it looks like it might only be used for the Revival tour (I don’t mind, I’m going to see Selena live for the first time ever this November! Getting soooo excited)

I cannot wait to download the new song as I’m sure I am going to absolutely love ‘Trust Nobody’.

Celebrating Four Years of Union J

I can’t believe it has been four years since Union J were formed. Their music has been a huge part of my life these past years and although they are now taking a different route with new band member Casey Johnson I still have a spot for the original line-up which included the wonderfully talented George Shelley.

For me the four years of Union J include George hence why the picture at the top of my blog post includes him!

It’s not that I’m not a fan of the new-look Union J it’s just that for me this celebration of four years of Union J would not have happened without George, but now he is no longer part of the group they can start to shape a new chapter in the career of the band.

I am really proud of how far they have come in four short years since they finished fourth on the 2012 series of the X Factor. They have sold out tours across the UK released multiple hit albums and singles and even had a range of their own dolls released.

Although I am gutted that George Shelley has left the band (he was my favourite) I am also very excited to see what Casey will bring to the table and how Union J will progress.

I can’t wait for their new album to see what direction they have decided to take their music in as I know I’m going to love it.

These past four years have shown how talented the boys are but I think they haven’t shown their true selves yet and I know they have so much more to give.

I sincerely hope that this new LP gets the recognition it deserves as I believe Union J are one of the best pop groups the UK has produced in recent history.

Loving Ward Thomas

I am absolutely loving Ward Thomas at the moment, their new single ‘Cartwheels’ is fantastic and has a really cool authentic country tone.

I still don’t understand why lot’s of people refer to country music as a guilty pleasure I am loud and proud of my love of the genre. You only have to look at people like Shania Twain to realise it’s a pretty cool genre (I’m getting too excited for Shania’s new music).

Anyway I’m digressing, Ward Thomas are the current band I am loving, I only discovered their unique sound earlier this year and I have been obsessed ever since. My favourite song is ‘Carry You Home’ but I love their latest track ‘Cartwheels’ as well.

I have pre-ordered their new album also called ‘Cartwheels’ and I can’t wait for September 2nd so I can plug in my earphones and jam out to their country/pop songs.

I’m also going to see them live in October which I am getting so excited for, I just know it’s going to be awesome (It will be my first ever country music concert).

I still can’t believe Catherine and Lizzy (Ward Thomas) are from the UK, you’d never guess just from listening to their music. But it proves that the genre is gaining loads of fans over here now as well.

I’m so happy that these girls are starting to get so much love I just know they are going to be huge stars in the very near future.
